Frances Sutton’s dedication to animals spans a lifetime. From walking neighborhood dogs as a child to spending 16 years as a local pet consultant at Vernon’s AJ's Pets & Things, her focus has always been on understanding and advocating for animals.Over the past decade, Frances has provided dedicated pet care, sitting, and grooming support throughout the Vernon community. Her formal training includes certification through PIJAC Canada, KPA Puppy Start Right (puppies are her absolute favourite!), and a mentorship with Lisa Davies. She is actively pursuing further accreditations with the Family Dog Mediator (FDM) framework and the Pet Professional Guild (PPG). At home, Frances lives on a beautiful acreage surrounded by her own animal family: Atticus (a 9-year-old American Bully), her chickens, a gecko, and a tarantula. She is excited to bring her passion, humane approach, and depth of experience to Pawsitively Canine through group classes and private training.
